Aside from the wiffle Gods looking down upon Sherwood Yards and Dixie Land with unbelievable weather, the Gods shone down upon the Rusty Ducks...who broke through the ceiling and won their 1st WBWS title over tournament mainstay the Diablos. The 13-6 final score put the Dux on the trophy after several title game appearances, including some recent heart breakers. But in true Dux fashion, they came prepared, never quit, and are now able to be put up on the big board as WBWS Champions. Congrats to the Dux!
El Conquistador is proud to report that not only was the wiffle ball a success, but our fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital were a success as well. The one day tournament raised $2,002.33!!! We are grateful to all those who participated and helped us reach and exceed our goal.
